Isabelle Madison Rites Held Here
Funeral services for Mrs. R. M. (Isabelle) Madison were held from the Ryan Funeral home, April 21 at 3:15 with Rev. E. P. Windman of the Memorial Lutheran church officiating.
Leslie Henderson, organist, played a number of appropriate selections before and after the service.
The many beautiful flowers were arranged by Mrs. Merrill Marshall and Mrs. Herbert Shearman.
Casket bearers were Milo Berka, Kenneth Brouhard, Harold Corbin, B. A. Fetterhoff, Jerry Tyler and Dale White.
Burial was in the Nevada cemetery.
Obituary
Born near Stanhope, Jan. 21, 1872, Mrs. Madison came to Nevada as a small child and had lived practically her entire life in Story county.
On Nov. 15, 1893, she was united in marriage to R. M. Madison, who preceded her in death in 1952. She was a member of the Lutheran church.
Surviving are three sons, A. L. Madison and Ivan Luther Madison of Seattle, Wash. and Fred Lavern Madison of Nevada; three daughters, Mrs. Glen (Hortense) Armstrong of Nevada, Mrs. Jerry (Emma) Berka of Nevada and Mrs. Charlie (Irene) Howell of Waterloo. She also leaves 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, three sisters and a brother. The latter are Mrs. E. O. Madson, Story City; Mrs. Conard Streuber, Jewell; Mrs. Inger Holmes of Des Moines and Imbert Satre of Stanhope.

Relatives and friends in attendance at the services were from Seattle, Wash., Waterloo, Springfield, Ill., Oskaloosa, Story City, Jewell, Stanhope, Des Moines, Radcliffe, Roland, Colo, Maxwell, Ellsworth and Nevada.
