Rites Monday For Mrs. Belle Estrem

Mrs. Belle Estrem, daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Fronsdahl, was born on a farm north of Slater, September 17, 1885, and passed away at her home Dec. 31, 1953 at the age of 68 yrs., 3 mo. and 13 days, from a heart attack, following an illness of 2 months. Mrs. Estrem spent her entire life in this community. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid and circles. On January 9, 1907 she was united in marriage to Ingwald Estem of Sheldahl, Iowa. To this union 7 children were born.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Bethlehem Church at Slater. Burial will be in the Slater cemetery. The body will be at the Riis Funeral Home.

Surviving are her husband, Ingwald; sons, Charles of Kelley, Ia., and LeRoy of Altoona; daughters Erma Holland of Nevada, Mildred Erickson of Cambridge, Arlene Burgess of Slater, and Gladys at home.

Preceding her in death was a son who died in infancy in 1913, also brothers, Thomas and Eli Fronsdahl.

One sister, Mrs. Oliver Newman of Slater, a brother Clarence Fronsdahl, of Nampa, Idaho, 10 grandchildren also survive.

She will be remembered by her family as a kind and loving mother, and by her friends as one who spent her life in a service to others.
