Winfred Torry Services To Be Friday at Collins

Funeral services for Winfred (Win) Torry, who died July 26, will be held at 10:00 a. m. Friday at the Collins Christian Church. Burial will follow in the Rosehill Memorial Gardens at Marshalltown. Friends may call at the Brouhard Funeral Home in Zearing until time of services.

Torry, the son of T. A. Torry and Jennie Mae Schuey [should be Shuey], had been in failing health since 1942. He was born on October 1, 1908, and except for eight years when he lived in Marshalltown, he spent his entire life in the Collins community. He attended the Northwestern Country School and completed his education at the Collins School.

Torry married Adelaine Sawtell of Melbourne in 1927.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Max Waltemeyer of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister, Mabel Lilliard [should be Lillard] of Ames; one aunt, Mrs. T. H. Shickell of Collins and several nieces and nephews.
