Gorge McAllister Died Last Night; Funeral Thursday

George McAllister, 83, who had lived practically all of his life in the neighborhood of Cambridge, died Tuesday evening at the Story County Home, where he had been cared for during the past year.

The funeral services will be held at the Morfoot Funeral home, Nevada, Thursday morning at 10:30, after which interment will be in the Nevada cemetery, by the side of his first wife.

Mr. McAllister, married twice* and both of his wives dead, leaves four daughters and one son by his first wife, as well as 11 step children.

His daughters are Mrs Sam Netterfield of Cambridge, Mrs. Harve Brown of Cambridge, Mrs. Harry Brown of Emmettsburg and Mrs. Emma Stevens of Twin Falls, Idaho. The whereabouts of the only son, George McAllister is not known.

Mr. McAllister, through his long residence in Story County has a wide acquaintance in the south part of the county.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: George S. McCallister/McAllister/McCollister married (1) Isabell McGuire on 17 September 1868 in Winnebago County, Illinois. He married (2) Mary Jane (Graves) Harrison, widow of Henry James Harrison, on 8 December 1902 in Nevada, Story County, Iowa.
