AGED HAMILTON RESIDENT DEAD

Paul J. Holland, Living Six Miles Northwest of Here, Died Last Friday Morning at Sanitarium at Nevada. Funeral on Tuesday.

Paul J. Holland whose home is six miles northwest of here, died at the Sanitarium at Nevada, last Friday morning after several years illness. He was taken to Nevada on Tuesday in hopes that treatments there would help him, but he gradually failed until Friday morning when he passed away. The funeral services were held Tuesday from St. Petri Lutheran church at Story City, after which interment took place in the Story City cemetery. Rev. H. Solum preached the funeral sermon.

Paul J. Holland was born in Sovde, Stavangers Amt, Norway, Europe, where he lived until he reached his majority. Shortly after his marriage he came to this country to make his home, and after a few years purchased a farm six miles northwest of here, where he has since made his home. For the past few years has been gradually failing, until his death took place as above stated, he being past 69 years of age. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters and four sons to mourn his death. They are Mrs. Ostin Anfinson, of Mylo, N. D.; Miss Malinda Holland, who is staying at the parental home; John Holland, of Leonard, N. D.; Ole Holland, of Finlater, Saslr., Canada; Martin, of near this place, and Carl Holland, who is staying at the parental home.
