Rites for Mrs. Ogden Held On Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ogden of Nevada were held Saturday afternoon at 3:30 in the Ryan Funeral Home with the Rev. W. R. Tuttle of the Nevada Christian church officiating.

Mrs. Loren Pevestorf, soloist, sang two songs, "Old Rugged Cross" and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus", accompanied by Mrs. Arlene Huhn at the organ.

The many floral offerings were arranged by Mrs. Harold Hansen and Mrs. Willard Sampson.

The casket bearers were L. B. Dooley, C. G. Hostetter, Lyle McConnell, Harold Hansen, Herbert Patterson and Willard Samson.

Burial was in the Nevada cemetery.

Mrs. Marie Ogden

Marie (Mary) Rosine Moritz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Moritz, was born in Illinois Nov. 10, 1869. Her death occurred at the Story County Hospital at 3:10 a. m. Thursday, Jan. 9, 1958 at the age of 88 years and two months.

She was united in marriage to E. M. Ogden on June 1, 1907 at State Center, Iowa. To this union one son, Robert F. was born.

Mrs. Ogden became ill Wednesday evening Jan. 1 and was taken to the Story County Hospital.

Preceding her in death were her parents, four sisters and six brothers and her husband, the late E. M. Ogden who died April 15, 1947. Surviving is the son Robert, his wife and one grandchild, Delores Mae Ogden. One sister, Mrs. Emma Hunzelman of Fort Collins, Colo. (Mrs. Hunzelman had been at the Ogden home to spend Christmas with her sister.)

Mrs. Ogden was a member of Pythian Sisters and honorary member of R. E. K. club.
