Funeral Rites Held Monday for Forrest McHone

Cambridge, April 1 -- Funeral rites were held for Forrest McHone Monday afternoon March 17 at 2 o'clock at the Duckworth Funeral home in Ames with Rev. J. Harold Gamble pastor of the Baptist church in charge of the services. Burial was in the Iowa Center cemetery. The floral tributes were many and beautiful.

Forrest McHone son of A. M. and Ida McPherson McHone was born at Cambridge, Iowa, March 27, 1899 and passed away at Ames Thursday, March 13, having reached the age of 47 years, 11 months and 14 day. He spent his boyhood days in Cambridge. Twenty-nine years ago he was married at Harrison, Nebr., to Myrna Howard, then 23 years ago moved to Ames where he has since resided. To this union five children were born, Sydney L. of Cheyenne, Wyo., William D., Los Angeles, Calif., Maude Virginia Kohorst of Humboldt, Bonnie Lee Laub and Marjorie Schmitz of Los Angeles, Calif. He leaves to mourn his departure aside from the immediate family two grand children one brother, Roy, of Cambridge and one sister, Mrs. George Schuster, of Washington, D. C. A sister Mrs. Nathan Burton preceded him in death.
