HENRY WHEELOCK DIED THIS MORNING

PASSED AWAY AT ST THOMAS HOSPITAL MARSHALLTOWN--FUNERAL WEDNESDAY.

Henry Wheelock, 77, died at St. Thomas hospital, Marshalltown, early this morning and the funeral services will be held from St. Patrick's church Wednesday morning at 10, after which interment will be in St. Patrick's cemetery.

Henry Wheelock was born in Davenport April, 1848 and lived there for many years. It was there that he was united in marriage to Bridget Kane at the Davenport Cathedral by the late Bishop Cosgrove.

Thirteen children were born to this union, eight of whom survive the parents. They are Mrs. Helen Shea of Waterloo, Henry Wheelock of near Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Mary Foley of Boone county, Will Wheelock of Boone county and James, John, Joseph and Bernard of this county.

Mr. Wheelock whose wife died some years ago, had been out in this part of the state of a number of years, making his home with his various children but for the past several months had been ill and confined to the St. Thomas hospital at Marshalltown.

His children and grandchildren number 60 and there will be a large attendance of members of the family, friends and neighbors here to attend mass.
