Dies in Canada

Word has reached here of the death of Jacob J. Seal at Merlin, Ontario, Canada, at the age of nearly seventy years. The deceased was born in Norway and came to this country as a young man, making his home in Illinois. In 1881 he was married to Miss Anna Johnson, daughter of Mrs. T. R. Johnson, formerly of this place, but now of Legrand. Mrs. Seal died in 1893 at the family home in Illinois. Since the death of his wife, the deceased moved to Oklahoma where he lived until five years ago, when he went to Canada to live with his brother. He wasn't known much about Roland, as he did not stay here for any length of time. He is said to be a cousin of Jacob L. Seal of Kiester, Minn., who formerly resided near this place.
