Andrew Braland died at his home two miles south of Randall last Saturday, after a short illness. The deceased was born in Norway, Europe, November 9, 1854, and was 67 years, 5 months and 6 days old at the time of his death. At the age of three years he came with his parents to Ottawa, Ill., where he lived for some time when they came to Hamilton county where he has since made his home. He leaves his wife and nine children to mourn his death, one of his daughters being Mrs. Iver I. Sampson of this place. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from North St. Petri church, Rev. G. O. Paulsrud preaching the funeral sermon, after which interment took place in Mamrelund cemetery.
