Funeral Service Held Here for Mrs. R. C. Sarsfield

Funeral services were held for Mrs. R. C. Sarsfield in the Methodist church Friday afternoon in charge of Rev. C. D. Loose.

Mr. H. G. Kruwell sang the songs "There is No Night, " "Is My Name Written There?" and "Going Down the Valley." Mrs. Hathaway presided at the organ.

The pall bearers were all nephews of the decease: Lester Dunahoo of Maxwell, Bertrind Dunahoo of Hampton and Willard Dunahoo of Nevada; Willis Sarsfield of Atlantic, Ia., W. H. Sarsfield of Nevada and John Brouhard of Colo.

The flowers were exceptionally beautiful and were cared for by Mrs. E. O. Dillin and Mrs. Homer Jacobs.

Attending the funeral from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sarfield, Ralph, Ray and Robert Sarsfield, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Museland and Irene, all of Chicago; Mrs. J. C. Holmes of Grinnell and Mrs. W. A. Shurtz of Des Moines; Miss Doris Boyd and Mrs. Harlan Niobe of Adel; Mr. and Mrs. Willis Sarsfield, Grace Sarsfield and Mrs. G. W. Sarsfield of Atlantic; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dunahoo and Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Dunahoo of Hampton.

Susan, daughter of Andrew and Rachel Dunahoo, was born on a farm near Iowa Center, April 8th, 1863. Here she grew to womanhood and on May 11, 1879, she was united in marriage to Robert C. Sarsfield of Colo, Iowa. To them, were born four children Charles, Orval, LeRoy and Blanche.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two children, Orval having died Feb. 22, 1935 and LeRoy in infancy, one sister and five brothers.

She leaves to mourn her loss her loving husband, two children Charles of Chicago and Blanche Boyd of Maxwell, 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, two brothers, Floyd Dunahoo of Nevada, Fred Dunahoo of Hampton and two sisters. Besides these she leaves numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
