Mrs. Julia Boyd

Mrs. Julia Boyd died Sunday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. J. Johnson, west of town, after an illness of two months.

Mrs. Boyd was born in Etne, Norway, on February 27, 1839, and was therefore 82 years of age at the time of her death. She was married in her native land and in 1892 emigrated to this country, settling first at Cambridge. From Cambridge they moved to Radcliffe where they lived for ten years. Since the death of her husband six years ago she has made her home with her children. For the past two years she has lived with the Johnson family.

She leaves to mourn her death four daughters, namely Mrs. H. C. Nessa of Forest City, Mrs. J. J. Johnson, Mrs. P. Danielson, Egburt, Wyoming; Mrs. P. T. Peterson, Mansfield, S. D.; and one son, Sten L. Wagner of Lake Mills and three brothers, Sten Anderson, Andrew and Ole Anderson, all of Eagle Grove.

Funeral services were held Wednesday from Bergen church. Interment was made in the Roland Cemetery.
