Death of Octogenariian
John Teig, a former citizen of this community, died at his home, west of Story City, on Sunday, September 5. Mr. Teig was 80 years of age at the time of his death. Mr. Teig was quite well known to many here as he was a resident of this place about four years ago.
He is survived by a wife, who is a sister of the late H. F. Wilson and eight children.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday of last week from the Bethel church at Story City. Rev.s Paulsrud of Randall and T. J. Knudson of Jackson, Minn., officiated.

OBITUARY
John O. TeigJohn O. Teig was born Sept. 22, 1840 at Sevde, Teigo Gaarden, Stavanger, Norway, and died at his home northwest of Story City, Sept. 5, 1920, being thus within two weeks of 80 years of age.
He came to America in 1870, settling near Morris, Ill.. Three years later he moved to Iowa, and in 1874 was married to Betsey Wilson. They moved to the farm northwest of Story City, where they have made their home ever since. His wife and nine children survive him, two children having preceded him in death. The children living are: Mrs. Willie Williams of Jewell; Gilbert of Borup, Minn.,; Henry of Jewell; Ole of Blue Earth, Minn.; Chris of Dell Rapids, S. D.; Martin of Radcliffe; Severin of Nerstand, Minn., and Mandus and Gertie of Story City. Belle died at the age of 16 and Ritta died in infancy.
