A. J. Burley Died Monday at Colorado Springs

A. J. Burley, age about 69 years, passed away Monday evening at his home in Colorado Springs, Colorago. Mr. Burley fell on April 25 breaking his shoulder. This injury accompanied by ill health over a number of years hastened his death.

Mr. Burley came to Story county 57 years ago. He purchased a farm in Milford township where he lived until about four years ago. He sent to Colorado because of ill health.

Mr. Burley is survived by his wife and eight children, Albert Burley and Mrs. Floyd Davis of near Nevada; Mrs. Forest Grooms of Collins, Lowell of Terril, Mrs. Leo Ververs of Kutch, Colorado; Mrs. Cecil Henderson, who is at present at the home of her parents in Colorado Springs and two son in service, Marvin who is stationed in San Francisco and Virgil who is with the air corps in China.

One son, Joseph, preceded the father in death.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Ryan Funeral Home with Dr. James O. Simon officiating. Committal will be in the Nevada cemetery.
