William Clay Tway, son of Cornelius and Sarah Margaret (Allen) Tway was born on a farm near McCallsburg, Iowa, April 19, 1890, and passed away at Ottumwa hospital Saturday, 4:25 a.m., Sept. 6. He moved with his parents to a farm six miles southeast of Nevada in what was called "Mullen" settlement.

After four years with his parents, he moved to a farm near Macon, Mo. Two years later he moved with his parents back to Iowa on a farm near Munterville, Wapello Co. Then again, after several years he moved with his mother and two sisters Mamie and Florence to a farm north of Ottumwa, Iowa, where he lived until his death. He and his two sisters Mamie and Florence were not married but lived together for 33 years on this farm.

Mr. Tway was a quiet unassuming man who gave close attention to his farm duties. He was neighborly and helpful as long as his health would permit.

He leaves to mourn his passing his youngest sister Florence, who still lives on the home farm. Also sister Idella (Tway) Guthrie of Nevada and one brother Edward S. Tway of Sac City, Ia., one niece Daisy Guthrie of Nevada, one nephew, Allen Guthrie of Ames and one great-niece, Marlene Guthrie of Ames.
