Funeral Services Held at Iowa Center for Frank Belcher
Funeral services for Frank Belcher, 82, pioneer of the Iowa Center neighborhood, who died at Iowa sanitarium, Nevada, Tuesday morning, were held Thursday afternoon at the Iowa Center church, with Rev. E. C. Lookingbill in charge. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery at Iowa Center.
The following brief sketch of the life of this aged pioneer, was read by the minister during the service.
Frank Belcher, a son of John and Mary Belsher was born April 23, 1860, at Iowa Center, and died at 7:30 a. m., August 18, at the age of 82 years, 3 months and 26 days. He spent his entire life near and in Iowa Center. On November 21, 1910, he was united marriage to Edna Smith. He is preceded in death by his mother and father and four sisters and five brothers, he being the youngest in the family. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife and a host of relatives and friend. He was a kind and loving husband and a good neighbor and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
