Obituary of Nels Hjalmar Nelson

Nels Hjlmar Nelson, the son of Mary and August Nelson was born October 27, 1880 in Ostergotlan, Sweden and passed away in Chicago, Ill., at the home of his daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Conrad, on August 20, 1946 at the age of 65 years, 9 months and 23 days.

He was confirmed in the Swedish Lutheran church in Sweden.

Nels Nelson came to this country in 1901 and became naturalized in 1908.

In 1907 he was united in marriage to Edith Hallstrom of Madrid, Iowa, who passed away in 1916.

To this union five children were born, two sons and three daughters, Emory R. of Chicago, Nels Hjlmar of Galesburg, Ill., Alice Cook of Cambridge, Avis Conrad of Chicago.

In 1913 Agnes Julia proceded her parents in death.

In 1925 he was married to Anna Mosebach. To this union two sons were born August and Raymond of Nevada.

There are two brothers, Oscar Nelson of Madrid and Ernest Nelson of Sioux City, and two sisters in Sweden, a host of relatives and friends.

He lived for many years in and around Cambridge and Nevada.

Interment was made in the Hillsboro cemetery* east of Madrid.
