Last Rites for J. W. Clark on Sunday Afternoon

Funeral services for J. W. Clark, 84, who passed away at his home on Tenth street, Friday evening where held from the Church of Christ, Sunday afternoon at 2 p. m. with the Rev. Hugh Guy, officiating.

Mrs. Marley Lobaugh was at the piano. She accompanied when Miss Virginia Bierschwal and Mrs. Lee Cook sang "Abide With Me" and "Lead Kindly Light."

The many beautiful flowers were expressive of the high regard in which the deceased had been held. In his sermon Rev. Guy paid a high tribute to the long life of the one who had passed on after living half a century in this community whose life was an exemplification of Christian living and faith in God.

The pall bearers were H. M. Vinsel, Emmett Armstrong, E. A. Fawcett, Dan Nickerson, Clyde Stewart, and L. M. Borgen.

Relatives from out of town here for the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Grings and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Chapman of Waterloo; Mr. and Mrs Earl Billings and children of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. George Heggen and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Angle of Ames.

Mr. Clark had suffered a broken hip in fall on April 16, 1946, and for a time was at Mary Greeley hospital in Ames. He had been failing rapidly for the past two or three weeks.

He was born at Moscow, Iowa, and later lived in Wyoming, Nebraska and Council Bluffs, where he had attended school, before coming to Nevada where he has since made his home.

The deceased is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Jesse Dobson of Los Angeles, California, and one son, Ted Clark of Nevada; also by his wife, and her daughters, Mrs. Carl Grings of Waterloo; Mrs. Earl Billings of Des Moines; Mrs. R. J. O'Neil of Denver, Colorado; Mrs. R. N. McGuire of Burlingame, California, and Mrs. Mae Annis of San Diego, California.

Mrs. Jennie Clark passed away February 26, 1926 and on March 1928 he was married Mrs. Wm. Baldwin who survives him.
