Beardsley Funeral Was Held Wednesday

Special to the Journal.
Colo, June 14--Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Beardsley were held from the Evangelical church, Wednesday morning conducted by the pastor, assisted by Rev. Stark of the M. E. church. The body was laid to rest in the Woodlawn cemetery in Des Moines.

Mrs. Annabelle Danskin and Mrs. Lloyd Lounsbury sang "There'll Be No Dark Valley," "God's City," and "Saved By Grace" accompanied by Mrs. S. B. Goodenow.

Those in attendance from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Hinklehouse and family from West Liberty, Iowa, Mr. Arthur Cole of Duran, Iowa, Mr. Clinton Cole of St. Lawrence, S. Dak., Mrs. Clair Mountain and daughter, Mina, of Valley Junction, Iowa, and Mrs. Mary Whitmer of Sioux City, Iowa.

Sarah Frances, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Eutsler, was born at Post Republic Rockingham, Virginia, May 4, 1853 and died at Colo, Iowa, June 9, 1929. Death resulted from a stroke of paralysis which she suffered on Saturday evening June 8.

On December 23, 1869 she was united in marriage with Ulysses Cole. Seven children came to bless this union, Lulu, who died January 1, 1929; Elmer of Colo; Ernest of Cedar Rapids; Arthur of Durant, Iowa; Evelyn of West Liberty, Iowa; Chester who died October 3, 1899; and Clinton of St. Lawrence, S. D. Mr. Cole passed away March 30, 1890.

She was united in marriage with Roselle Beardsley on October 8, 1907 who with the above named children, and twenty grandchildren and three great grandchildren mourn her passing.
