Obituary From Mitchell Funeral Home, Marshalltown, Marshall County, Iowa.

Debra A. Osman, 77, of Nevada, Iowa, passed quietly on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the Iowa River Hospice Home with her loving husband and family by her side.

Funeral services for Debra will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Flemming officiating. Public visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home, where Debra’s family will be present to greet friends. She will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed in Debra’s name to her family, which will be later designated elsewhere. Debra (Pickering) Osman was born on April 17, 1942 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Troy and Norma Jean (Glantz) Pickering. She was raised and educated in the Marshall County area. On April 25, 1980, Debra was united in marriage to the love of her life, Earl Osman in Marshalltown, Iowa. Debra was a hard working woman, dedicating her professional time to A.F. Ross, a business she enjoyed with her closest friends. She later worked as church secretary for the Church of the Nazarene, in Marshalltown.

She had a passion for gardening, crafting, flowers, and had a knack for adding beauty to anything she was involved with. Debra loved her children and grandchildren dearly, and her relationship with granddaughter Jasmine was motherlike.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Earl Osman; Her children: Mychelle (Kent) Dickenson, Kevin (Carla) Klaas, Kerry (Patty) Klaas, Jarrett (Isabel) Klaas; Shari (Steve Hay) Harding; Craig (Amy) Osman; Christopher Osman. Also, her grandchildren and their children: Jasmine (Jason) Goeders, Megan, Rylie, & Drew; Michael (Denise Overstake) Jackley, Jr. and Kaydn; Shannon (Linda) Terry, Darrin and Lilly; Charity (Morgan Garner, Jr.) Garner, Nathan, Natalie, & Morgan Laney; Jessica (Michael) Reynolds, Bailee and Maddix; Annie (Josh) Thorne, Daisy and Autumn; Candace (JR) Perez, Jeremy, Zoe, & Isabella; Christopher (Amber Risius) Klaas, Kayden and Brooklyn; Abbigail Klaas; Trevor Harding; Tara Harding and Benjamin; BreAnn (Jay Harkless) Klaas and Jude; Chelsea (Cody McKeag) Klaas, DeannaLynn, Collin, & Alleyna; Cody Klaas; Zech and Hannah Klaas, along with their mother Tara Klaas; Samuel and Jo Beth Osman; Mikayla and Andrew Osman. Also, her brother Donald (Kendra) Preston, Kimberley, Bobbie (Quinton) Toresdahl, Brian, and their mother Laura Preston; and her brother Richard Preston. Also, her sister-in-law Cindy Libero, as well as her brothers-in-law: Rick Osman, Eric Osman, and Dale Osman.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her step-father Donald Preston, Sr; her son Justin (Deb) Klaas, her son-in-law Michael Jackley, Sr.; her grandchildren Lauryn and Liberty.
