IRENE FOLEY, age 81, of Ames, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019, at Accura Healthcare of Ames.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in Minnesota, with inurnment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Finlayson, MN. Condolences may be expressed online at www.amesmonument.com.

Irene Clara Foley was born August 16, 1937, in Bruno, Minnesota, to Richard and Clara (Bruhn) Passow. She graduated from Askov (Minnesota) High School. On June 4, 1955, Irene married Richard Foley in Pine City, Minnesota. The couple was blessed with five children, Nancy, Tamie, Kelly, Tracy, and Sireena.

Irene enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and also spent many happy hours gardening and reading. Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and The Price is Right were among her favorite television programs.

She is survived by her children, Nancy (Rick) Keuhn of Ham Lake, MN, Tamie (Lou) Rodriguez of Las Vegas, NV, Kelly (Sue) Foley of Cunningham, TN, Tracy Foley of Columbus, NC, and Sireena Foley of Ames; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Robert (Barb) Passow of Lewistown, MT; and a sister, Lois (Brad) Lovelace of Eau Claire, WI.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband Richard on November 4, 2004; her parents; three brothers, Wilfred, Armond, and Glenn Passow; and three sisters, Florence Kealy, Betty Evans, and Iva George.

Ames Monument & Cremation Center has been entrusted with the care of Irene and her family.
