Mrs. D. W. Guge*, a former resident of this place but lately of Cleveland, Ohio, died at her home on Sunday night last and Tuesday the funeral was held from her residence. She was the eldest daughter of Wm. Cole who died here recently. She will be remembered by all older residents here.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Mary Jane Cole, daughter of William Henry Cole and Lovina Gleason, married David Watkins Gage (not Guge as stated) in September 1855 in Ohio. She died 18 May 1895 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Her father, William Henry Cole, had died only 8 days before on 10 May 1895 in Ames, Story County, Iowa.
