Ames Times: ...William H. Cole was born near Great Barrington, Mass., April 23, 1811, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. Foster, in this city at 2:30 p. m. yesterday, May 8th.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. H. Foster" was Susan (Cole) Foster who married Homer Foster on 12 April 1866 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. William H. Cole is living with Susan Foster (a widow) and her two children in the 1895 Ames, Story County, Iowa census.
