Mrs. A. Halleland Died This Morning In Story City

STORY CITY -- Mrs. Anna Halleland, 84, mother of P. R. Halleland of Nevada, died this morning at 10 a. m. at the home in Story City in which she had lived for 62 years. Death was due to complications incident to her advanced age.

Born in Gjovik, Norway, Europe she came to this country when a girl of about 12 years of age with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Kold. She had lived in the Story City community since that time.

Mrs. Halleland, widow of Helge Halleland who passed away in Story City in 1906, was a longtime and faithful member of the St. Peteri Lutheran church in Story City.

Surviving are four daughters and two sons. They are Mrs. A. L. Born of Story City, P. R. Halleland of Nevada, Mrs. Lumar Olsan of Springfield, Ill., Mrs. Henry Jacobson, Story City, Herbert Halleland of Randall and Mrs. Elmer Moore of Webster City.

Funeral arrangements were pending at noon today.
