FUNERAL OF MRS. HALL

Was Held at Maxwell a Week Ago Today.

Maxwell, Dec. 19--Mrs. Sarah Hall passed away at her home Wednesday afternoon at the advanced age of eighty years. She had undergone an operation several weeks ago and at that time it was found she could not get well and the end came not unexpected. The funeral service was held Saturday afternoon from the Methodist church. Rev. Jackson Giddens of Nevada assisted by Rev. H. N. Smith conducted the services. Interment was in the Maxwell cemetery beside the husband who passed away a few years ago. Mrs. Hall was one of Maxwell's highly esteemed women and loved by all who knew her and the entire community mourns in the loss of this worthy woman.

Sarah Jane Dunahoo, daughter of William and Sarah Dunahoo was born Sept. 19, 1843 at Indianapolis, Ind., and came to Iowa with her parents in the year of 1854. She departed this life Dec. 12, 1923 at the age of 89 years, 2 months and 23 days. Twenty years to the day later than her mother. She was the last of a family of ten children.

Her parents came from Virginia to Indianapolis where she was born and at the age of 11 years they came from Indianapolis, Ind., to Iowa. At the age of 18 she was united in marriage to John R. Hall, Oct. 17, 1861. No children were born to this union, but her home has been pen to anyone whom she could help.

She was converted soon after her marriage and joined the Evangelical church at Iowa Center. They retired from the farm an moved to Maxwell about 35 years ago, when she transferred her membership to the M. E. church. She has been a faithful an consciencious christian and always attended and helped in church work in every way she could.

She was a good wife and splendid neighbor and her kindly way won the affection of everyone who knew her.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Jackson Giddens Saturday at 1:30 o'clock at the Methodist church of Maxwell.
