OBITUARY OF ALEC CLARK

Was a Native of Illinois and Lived Here Since 1916.

Special to the Journal.
Colo, June 25.--Alec Clark, 33, who died at his home north of here at an early hour Saturday morning from the effects of poison taken twenty-four hours before, was a native of Hamilton county, Illinois, where he was born October 9, 1891.

He spent his boyhood days in that state and came to Iowa early in 1916 and October 2 of that year was united in marriage to Miss Clara Collins of near Zearing. They have lived in this community since that time, the most the time on a farm south of Zearing. One child, a son, Clyde Owen, was born to them, and he with the wife, the parents who live at Dahlgren, Ill., two sisters and two brothers are left to mourn his untimely death. The sisters are Mrs. Chloe Tolley of Dahlgren, Ill., and Mrs. Ruth Todd of McLeansboro, the same state, while the brothers, Clyde and Marshall Clark live near St. Anthony. He also leaves a wide circle of other relatives and friends who respected him for his honesty of purpose and trustworthiness.
