OBITUARY

MARIA RAHFELDT

Maria Rahfeldt was born in Canada 1868 and departed this life at Minneapolis, Minn., October 9, 1919. When a child she came to Iowa with her parents John and Charlotte Rahfeldt and settling south east of Zearing living there with her parents until 1889 when she was united in marriage to Jurome Honn, still making Story County their home for a number of years.

Later moving to Sibley, Ia., and from there to Minneapolis where they had lived for the past ten years.

Being seriously burned there at her home on the morning of October 4, and lived until Thursday morning, October 9th. But being burned so last few hours of her life. Everything that kind words and loving hands was done but her Saviour had called her and she was ready to go.

Being a member of the United Evangelical church of Zearing since a girl, she leaves beside husband, one son Loron still at home and one daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Schriber and three grandchildren of Foxhome, Minn., four brothers, Ed and Andrew of Sibley, Ia., Henry of near Nevada and Albert of near Zearing, besides a large circle of neighbors and friends, two sons, four sisters, father and mother having departed her to the great beyond.

The body was brought to Zearing and services were held at the Evangelical church of that place. Interment in the Zearing cemetery.

The family has the sympathy of the entire community.
