CIVIL WAR VETERAN DIED AT MAXWELL

NOBLE P. HALL, 95, ANSWERED TO TAPS--DIED AT HOME WEDNESDAY

Maxwell, Sept. 23--Noble P. Hall, 95, Civil war veteran and early day resident of Story county, died Wednesday afternoon shortly after 1 o'clock at his home here. His death was due to infirmities of his age and was not unexpected as he had been ill and confined to his bed several months. Mr. Hall was a native of Indiana and came to Iowa in 1854. The next year he returned to Indiana and was married*. Returning to Iowa he and his bride established their home near Maxwell, making a continuous residence in this county for over seventy years. He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. S. J. Miller, Mrs. C. J. Porter, Mrs. H. J. Garlock of this city, Mrs. Chas. Woods of Ames and Mrs. A. P. Walton of Lexington, Neb.

The funeral services for the aged veteran will be held at Maxwell Presbyterian church Sunday afternoon at half after two o'clock, by Rev. B. H. Guthrie. Following the funeral the body will be taken to the Maxwell cemetery, where it will be laid silently to rest by the side of his good wife who passed away on November 11, 1911.
