Obituary
Rosetta Blunk was born in Clay county, Ill., July 27, 1854. Died at the home of her niece, Mrs. I. W. Perry, near Gilbert, Iowa, May 27, 1921, aged 66 years and 10 months. With her family she came to Iowa when a child three years old and the family settled in Boone county, which continued to be their home until 17 years ago when she moved into Story county and has made this her home till called to the home above. About eight years ago she united with the Congregational church of Gilbert and has been a consistent Christian to the end. Her home for the past seventeen years has been with the I. W. Perry family. She has of her immediate family two sisters, Mrs. Joe McDonald of Ames and Mrs. Richard Jordan of Boone county, besides many relatives and a host of friends. The funeral services were held in the Congregational church on Sunday afternoon, conducted by her pastor, H. W. Wissler, assisted by Rev. Raecker of the Evangelical church of Zenorville. The body was laid to rest in the Gilbert cemetery.
