Martha Jean “Marti” Clayberg, 75, of Altoona, Iowa died May 31, 2019 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Graveside services will be Wednesday June 5 at 2 pm at the Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Marti was born on October 19, 1943 in Omaha, NE to Selmer R. and Llewella (Blair) Stokke. She worked as a secretary for Iowa State and Mercy Medical Center for many years. Marti grew up in Ames and had lived in Altoona for the past 20 years. She enjoyed reading, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and flowers but her greatest joys were her grandchildren and Precious her cat.

Marti is survived by her son Curt (Tera) Clayberg of Cedar Rapids; her daughter, Cathy (Craig) Wolf of Runnels; six grandchildren, Madison, Kennedy, Carter, Leslie, Steven and Danielle and her sister, Patricia Firnhaber of Boone.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Delmar Stokke; a sister, Sharon Hitchcock and a nephew, Michael Hitchcock.
