Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Steven Charles (Robby) Robinson, the son of Charles Herbert Robinson and Frances May (Kilborn) Robinson was born on November 24, 1950. He was raised on a farm between Boone and Ames, graduating from United Community School in 1969. Steve has always been a hard worker and started farming, and raising hogs and chickens with his parents at a young age. As a young man he helped build the Trestle Trail Bridge that he was very proud of.

He attended Iowa State University where he met his wife Joni (VanScoy) Robinson. They were blessed to have 2 daughters Sarah and Angie. Steve raised hogs, farmed and had an acreage outside of Boone where he was known for selling sweet corn.

Steve enjoyed making people laugh and could tell joke after joke, he was definitely one of a kind! He was a huge animal lover and had animals of all kinds at his farm at times. He especially loved his dogs and horses he had throughout the years. He loved his daughters Angie and Sarah and also his grandchildren Charlee Ann, and Johnny, that were his pride and joy.

Steve passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at The Taylor Hospice house in Des Moines. He was also preceeded in death by his parents Charles and Frances Robinson; sister Pamela Hein; and nephew Brent Hein.

Survivors include his daughter Angie Robinson (Aron Hilpipre) and granddaughter Charlee of Ankeny, Iowa; Daughter Sarah Robinson Jones (Matt Jones) and grandson Johnny of Anamosa, Iowa; Nephew Lance Hein of Boone, Iowa; Cousin Julie Baxter of Denver, Colorado; Ex-wife Joni Robinson of Gilbert, Iowa.

A Celebration Of Life will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Adams Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with Chaplain David Burling officiating. Interment to follow at the Ames Municipal Cemetery in Ames, Iowa.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Adams Funeral Home and online condolences may be left for the family at www.adamssoderstrum.com.
