FUNERAL OF MRS. WEBB

Well Known Cambridge Woman Was Victim of Cancer

Special to the Journal.
Cambridge, Aug. 3--Near the noon hour Monday Mrs. C. M. Webb died from the effects of cancer. Mrs. Webb was a patient sufferer for nearly a year, the past six months a helpless invalid unable to leave her bed, yet a most cheerful mind was never heard to complain of her sad lot. Understanding her condition thoroughly she never wavered, willing to live her allotted time, yet longing for her Master's call. She was a woman active in church and community affairs, was greatly admired and loved by a wide circle of acquaintances for her strong Christian qualities. She will be missed in the home, in the church and where a helping hand is needed. She leaves a husband who has been most devoted in his care of her during the long painful illness. Three brothers Edgar, Willard, Fred John in Oklahoma, Mrs. John Bowen of Maxwell, Mrs. A. L. Bartless* of Oklahoma and Mrs. W. H. Heggen of Des Moines. Funeral services were held at the home in Cambridge at one o'clock Wednesday and at the Presbyterian church Maxwell at two. Interment in the Maxwell cemetery.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: This should be "Mrs. A. L. Bartlett." Blanche Clara John, sister of Ida (John) Webb, was the wife of Ansyl Lester Bartlett.
