MRS. BUTTON'S BROTHER DEAD

Herm L. McCaw Passed Away In Kansas City.

H. L. McCaw, manager of the Kansas City branch of the Marshall Oil company, died at his home in that city Wednesday evening, according to a message received by his sister Mrs. E. C. Button in this city.

Pneumonia was the cause of death. Mr. McCaw contracted a severe cold at the time of the burning of the company's plant in Kansas City a week ago and it settled in his lungs and developed into pneumonia. The body will be brought back to Marshalltown for burial, probably Saturday or Sunday.

Mr. McCaw with a party of friends, passed through this city about a week before the fire on their way back from Minneapolis to Kansas City and left the Rock Island here for Marshalltown where they spent the night, taking the Great Western on from there to Kansas City.

Mr. McCaw was known to many Nevada people, having visited at the Button home in this city a number of time and also through his long connection with the Marshall Oil company.
