L. W. Putman Died at Farm Home Near Here
L. W. Putman, 64, farmer of two miles south of Nevada for the past ten years, died Sunday afternoon at 5:30 after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at the Lilly-Bishop funeral home Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 with Rev.
Theo Yackel in charge and burial will be in the Peoria cemetery south of Maxwell.The remains may be viewed at the funeral home until time of services. Harry Christiensen will be at the organ and Harold Kruwell will be the vocalist. Pallbearers were Tom Hemstock, Ed Heintz, Lloyd Finger, Kenneth Huhn, Sam Peterson and Leslie McBride.
Mr. Putman who was a native of Pennsylvania, was born 64 years ago on August 27 but had lived in the west for many years, coming here from Oklahoma about 10 years ago.
He leaves his wife and three sisters. The sisters, all whom had been here during his illness, are located at Olean, N. Y., Greeley, Colorado, and Los Angeles, California and none will be able to be here for the funeral services.
