HAMMOND BODY HERE FOR BURIAL

FUNERAL SERVICES HELD AT CEDAR FALLS AT 10 O'CLOCK TODAY

The body of Mrs. O. S. Hammond who died at Satori hospital, Cedar Falls, Thursday afternoon at 4:00, is expected to arrive at the north entrance of the Nevada cemetery at four o'clock today, after which short funeral services will be held and interment will be in the family lot near by.

At the side of the grave the funeral party from Cedar Falls will be met by local relatives and friends.

Death resulted from injuries received about three weeks before when she sustained a fractured hip in a fall.

Mrs. Mason L. Hammond was 79 on March 31 of this year. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. H. N. Silliman of Cedar Falls and Mrs. M. V. Bushman, Ft. Pierre, South Dakota, three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Belle Chapman, and a brother, O. L. Dunkelbarger, both of Nevada.

Madora Dunkelbarger was born in Warren county, Pa., March 31, 1850. When she was about three years old she moved overland with her parents to Geneseo, Illinois. While she was still and young girl, the family moved to Hamilton county, Iowa, where she was married to Orange S. Hammond, on November 22, 1865, who died in Cedar Falls, Feb. 5, 1921. The couple later moved to South Dakota before going to Cedar Falls in 1911, where Mrs. Hammond resided at 1422 Clay street, until two years ago.

The Hammonds lived in Nevada for a great many years, leaving here for South Dakota about 25 years ago. First engaged in farming near here, later they moved into town and Mr. Hammond practiced as a mortician.
