The first death in the county from what is being termed "sleeping sickness" occurred at Story City on Saturday when Frank Nash of that city died of the disease. There has been an epidemic of this disease in different parts of the state but so far Story County has been free from it.

Frank Nash died at the local sanitarium Sunday morning after an illness of about three weeks. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Grace church, Rev. Wendell officiating. He leaves to mourn his departure a little son, his aged mother, one sister and three brothers besides many friends.
