Former Colo Man Dies at Jefferson; Body Here for Burial

Walter Berry, 72, for many years an early day resident of the Colo neighborhood inn Story county, died Friday at a hospital in Jefferson and was buried in the Nevada cemetery Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock.

Mr. Berry, whose wife died in 1937 and was brought here for burial, had lived with his daughter, Mrs. Paul Clayton at Jefferson. Another daughter is Mrs. John MacVicar, wife of the mayor of Des Moines. He is also survived by another daughter, Mrs. Earl Young of Jefferson, and two sons, John and Ted Berry.

Funeral rites were held in Jefferson and the funeral party accompanied by the minister, drove here from Jefferson for the committal.
