From Nevada Representative November 21, 1900 (page 5)

The funeral of Albert Taylor was held Tuesday at the Lutheran church. Mr. Taylor made a hard fight for life against that dread disease consumption, but succubed last Sunday night at 8 o'clock. His nine months old baby girl had been buried Saturday afternoon, and his wish that he might go with the baby was not long denied. He bore his weakness manfully and sought to prepare himself to meet God in peace. He was but 26 year old. The young wife, Darmer Larson, daughter of John Larson, so soon left a widow and childless, is prostrated with grief. The thoughtful sympathy of the whole community goes out toward her. Mr. Taylor was a member of the local lodge of Modern Woodmen of the World at Audobon and was the recipient of many kindnesses at their hands. Last summer they provided him with team and wagon and sent him to Colorado in the hope of benefiting his health. During his sickness here the Lodge of Nevada showed him every attention possible. All funeral provisions were made by the local Lodge and about thirty members of the Order attended in a body. Impressive ritual services were rendered at the grave. The only brother of Mr. Taylor was here from Audubon some days before his brother's death. Albert Taylor was a steady, sober honest hard working young man and will be missed not only in his home but in the community.
