Rites Wednesday in Nevada for Elmer Taylor, 80

Funeral services for Elmer O. Taylor, 80, a former Nevada resident who died in Council Bluffs Sunday, will be held at the Ryan Funeral Home Wednesday at 2 p.m.

The Rev. O.M. Severseike will officiate. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

Mr. Taylor retired in 1960 as a night watchman at ISU after six years of service.

For the past two years he had resided with a son, Virgil C. Taylor, in Council Bluffs. Survivors include five sons, Virgil of Council Bluffs, Orlin of Boone, Darrell of Milwaukee, Carlos of Marshalltown, and Lyle of Mason City; 21 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; a brother Jay of Ames, and two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Hayworth and Mrs. Marie Cameron, both of Ames.

He was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, and his wife Dora in 1968.
