E. J. Williams Dies Here Wed.; Services on Sat.

E. J. Williams, 1326 Third Street, Nevada, died at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Story County Hospital where he had been admitted Monday morning.

Mr. Williams, 82, was born March 21, 1885 in Stuart, Ia., the son of Melzer and Emily Hopson Williams.

A resident of Nevada for the past 61 years, he was a retired barber and former owner of the Circle Barber Shop.

Survivors include five sons John of Anamosa, Howard of Laguna Hills, Calif.; Fred of Norwalk, Calif.; Ralph of Anaheim, Calif.; and Elmer of Nevada; three daughters, Mrs. Bernice Anderson of Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Edward Douke of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Mrs. Sam Switzer Jr. and Nevada; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Ray Williams of Bell, Calif.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, one sister, his first wife, Pearl Johns, who died in 1926, and his second wife Sarah Jensen who died in 1960.

Funeral services will be at the Ryan Funeral Home Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
