Services Here Saturday For Mrs. T. N. Dueland

Services for Mrs. Gertrude R. Dueland, 62, of Nevada, were held from Memorial Lutheran church Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock with the Rev. E. P. Windman officiating.

Leslie Henderson was at the organ playing appropriate numbers before and after the service. Mr. Kenneth Sandven of Eagle Grove, accompanied by his wife, sang "Denstore Vide Flok" and also "My God and I."

The many floral offerings were arranged by Mrs. Martin Carsrud and Mrs. Frank Vail.

Casket bearers were James Christy, James Farringer, Charles Harrell, James Higgs, Roger Prescott and Harold Richardson.

Burial was in the Fjeldberg cemetery near Huxley.

Obituary

Gertrude Elizabeth Lein, oldest daughter of Lars and Stena Lein, was born March 25, 1895 at Estherville, Iowa. A few years later the family moved to a farm near Kelley where she lived until June 10, 1914 when she married Tollef Dueland, who with five children survive.

The children are Alvina, Mrs. Howard Mosebach of Nevada, Leonard of Nevada, Gerald of Des Moines, Norma, Mrs. Wayne Howell of Maxwell and Robert at home.

In 1917 Mr. and Mrs. Dueland moved to farm north of Nevada and in 1934 they moved to the farm southeast of Nevada where she spent the remainder of her years.

As long as health permitted she was an active member of Memorial Lutheran church and a very helpful committee woman for 11 years. She was well known for her adult leadership in Girls 4-H club work, receiving recognition when made a lifetime member of the 4-H club. She was a member of the W. R. C. organization, the KYN club, and the Amvets.

Besides the husband and children, Mrs. Dueland is survived by the following grandchildren: Sherry Mosebach, Diane and Dean Dueland, Eldon Ray Howell and Sandra and Kay Rhodes. Surviving also are the following brothers and sister: Halder Lein of Montevideo, Minn., Oscar of Watson, Minn., Lawrence of Ankeny, Minard of Des Mones and Orlin of Kelley, and Mrs. Roy Larson of Los Angeles, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
