Final Services For Mrs. George Tokheim

Funeral services for Mrs. George S. Tokheim resident of Story City for 63 years, were held Monday afternoon at o'clock in the Immanuel Lutheran church in Story City, preceded by a prayer service in the home. The Rev. A. O. Skibsrud was in charge of the services.

A vocal solo was sung by Mrs. Edgar Ose. Nephews and other relatives served as pall bearers. Interment was in the Story City cemetery.

Obituary

Anna Berven the daughter of Knut and Kari Berven, was born in Borve, Hardanger, Norway, on Feb. 26, 1859. She came to America at an early age and was united in marriage on Aug. 22, 1886, to George S. Tokheim in St. Paul's Lutheran church, near Story City.

She was 90 years old when she passed away at her home on Saturday evening, Oct. 22, as the result of injuries when she fell and broke her hip 11 weeks before.

Mrs. Tokheim was a charter member of the Immanuel congregation; also of the ladies aid--being the first president of the organization.

Survivors

Surviving are the husband; one son, Sam Tokheim if Story City, and a daughter, Mrs. Alfred Adsem of Decorah. Survivors also include seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A son, Gerhard, and a daughter, Mrs. Sophie Gunsten, preceded her in death.
