Story County Deaths

EMMA THORSBAKKEN

Emma A. Thorsbakken, 75, of Story City, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 1980 at Bethany Manor, where she had lived the past three years.

She was born May 30, 1905, near Randall, the daughter of Harry and Christina Larson. On Dec. 31, 1924, she married Otis Thorsbakken. He died Feb. 2, 1958.

On Nov. 22, 1961, she married Selmer Thorsbakken. He preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 1974.

Mrs. Thorsbakken is survived by two sons, Harold of Milaca, Minn. and Charles of Huxley; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Bryan of Little Rock, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one daughter, Dorothy Anderson, three brother and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 1:30 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story city, with Rev. Orville Sanderson officiating. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. that day at the Bethany Manor Chapel, with Rev. Enoch Hall officiating. Burial will be in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery near Stanhope.
