Native of Oslo, Ole Thorsbakken, Dies Early Today

Story City, May 7 -- Ole Thorsbakken, 76, native of near Oslo, Norway, died at 5 a. m. today at his home here, after a months's illness.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, with prayer at the home at 1:30 p. m. and the funeral rites at Immanuel Lutheran church at 2, with Rev. T. T. Heimarck in charge. Burial will be in the Story City cemetery.

Mr. Thorsbakken, born near Oslo 77 years ago July 15 next, came to America as ayoung man, locating first at Decorah.

Later he came to Story county and located on a farm east of Story City where he lived for many years.

He leaves his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas Solbrack of Jewell; sons, Selmer of Story City, Otis of Randall, Henry of Story City and Arthur of Alden, and seventeen grandchildren. He also leaves a brother Marius at Venturia, Wis., and another, Even Thorsbakken in Norway.
