Springer Child Dies in Hospital Following Operation

Story City, Feb. 4 -- Luverne Springer, 5-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Springer of the Colo neighborhood, died at the Boone County hospital early Monday morning, following an operation for ruptured appendix on Saturday.

The body was brought to the home of the mother's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Frette in Story City. There will be prayer service at the Frette home on Wednesday at 1:30, with the funeral from Immanuel church at 2 o'clock with the Rev. T. T. Heimarck in charge. Burial will be in the Story City cemetery.

Little Luverne was the only child of the family.
