Stan Gabrielson Leland, 72, of Bedford, VA, died Saturday, November 17, 2018. Stan was born in Ames, Iowa, to Glenn S. Leland and Telma G. Leland. Stan graduated from Gilbert High School in 1965. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served four years during the Vietnam Conflict. He was awarded Airman of the Year while in the Air Force. He was also an avid outdoorsman. Stan was married to Diane L. Anderson in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Stan was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife Diane in 2007. Stan is survived by his daughter, Brandi King (Linwood) and grandchildren Levi and Lenae, his sisters, Pam Leland and Sue Yeakel (Gregory) and brother, Tracy Leland (Robin) and close friend, Peg Johnson.
