Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Diane Carol Forrest, age 64, of Ames, passed away on December 27, 2018 at her home in Ames.
Per Diane’s wishes, her body was cremated and graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Zion Cemetery in Iowa County, Iowa.

Born on June 18, 1954 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Diane was the daughter of Carroll and Colleen (Klein) Goettsch. She received a paralegal degree from Des Moines Area Community College and an economic degree from Iowa State University. She was employed many years with the State of Iowa. Diane was an avid reader. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, and traveling.

Diane is survived by her son, Wes (Mary Lea) of Roland; her brother, Danny Goettsch of Cedar Point, IA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Dona Venable; a brother, Randy Goettsch; and her beloved cat, New Kitty.

Diane would like to express her sincere appreciation to Dr. Matthew Otis, Unity Point, Iowa Methodist Medical Center for his excellent care and Dr. George Clavenna, Wolfe Eye Clinic for his many years of saving her vision. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the ALS Foundation or Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
