Mrs. Catheryn Pickel Dies This Morning

Mrs. Catheryn Pickel, 1330 Fourth street, died this morning at the University Hospitals in Iowa City. The body will be returned to The Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada. Funeral announcement will be made later.

Rites Held Wednesday For Mrs. Katheryn Pickel

Funeral services for Mrs. Katheryn Pickell were held from the Ryan Funeral Home Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. W. L. Willis officiating.

Miss Shirley Baldus sang two songs "Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Garden" accompanied by Mrs. Richard Benson at the organ.

The casket bearers were Milton Anderson, John Barnette, Robert Burnett, Don Davis, C. B. Rees and Louis Sorenson.

Burial was in the Nevada cemetery.

Obituary

Kathryn Lewis Pickel was born July 9, 1909 in Wellsbille, Mo. a daughter of Lem and Minnie Lewis. She was a resident of Nevada for the past 15 years.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Raymond Green Jr. of Lemon Grove, Calif., Ardis Pickel and Mary JoAnn Pickel of Nevada. She also leaves three grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers Robert of Minneapolis, Minn. and Frank Lewis of Marshalltown, and one sister, Mrs. Court Brannan of Los Angeles, Calif.
