P. W. Andrew, 82, Dies; Funeral Here Wednesday

NEVADA--P. W. Andrew, 82, died Sunday afternoon at 4:30 in the Story County Hospital where he had been a patient for the past ten days.

Funeral services will be held from the Nevada Methodist church Wednesday at 2 p. m. with Rev. David Ash officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery.

The body will rest at the Ryan Funeral Home until time of service.

Andrew was born near Palmyra, Indiana, on April 15, 1876. He had been a resident of Nevada for the past 34 years. He was married to to Ida Thayer at Pulaski, Iowa, on August 27, 1902.

He was a member of the Nevada Methodist church, and the Masonic Lodge for the past 55 years.

For many years he and his wife operated the Andrew Tourist Court in Nevada. He later operated a gas and oil dealership.

Surviving are his wife, Ida, one son, Herbert Andrew, Nevada, a daughter, Mrs. T. M. (Helen) Belitz of Inglewood, Calif. He also leaves four grandchildren and two great grandchildren, two brothers S. J. Andrew, Maquoketa and R. T. Andrew, Cedar Rapids, two sisters, Mrs. Flora Adkisson, Milton, Iowa, and Mrs. Elma Smith, Pocatella, Idaho.
