Mrs. C. B. Wells Died In Texas of Heart Attack

Mrs. C. B. Wells, 68, lifelong resident of the late Maxwell neighborhood, died late Tuesday at Dallas, Texas, of a heart attack, according to word reaching her son, Melvin Wells, of Nevada.

Mrs. Wells, whose husband, the late Curt B. Wells, died about nine years ago, had been with her daughters, Mrs. Helen Piercy and Mrs. Stephania Mills, at Dallas for the past eighteen months.

Her grandson Bruce Wells, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wells of Nevada, has spent the weekend at Dallas, during a brief furlough from Camp Bowie, where he is with the Medical corps at 315 Station hospital, and had visited the grandmother and aunts.

The body will be accompanied to Maxwell by Mrs. Piercy and Mrs. Mills and the services will be held Friday at the Maxwell Presbyterian church, according to word reaching her son Melvin Wells here.

Besides the two daughters who will accompany the body from Dallas, and the son Melvin of Nevada who is the oldest of the children, she is survived by a daughter, Gladys Allen of California, sons Max and Paul of Maxwell, Everett in the Armed service; daughters, Mrs. Letha Gaynor of West Virginia and daughter, Mrs. Jean Criss of Atlantic, Iowa.

She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Ebert of Nevada and Mrs. Sid Sherman of Maxwell and brothers Guy Cooper, and Forrest Cooper of Maxwell, being a daughter of the late Stephen Cooper of Maxwell.
